You can’t deny it. The schedule of a homemaker or stay at home Mom just keeps getting busier. There are more errands to run, more practices to attend, and events to be on time for. The amount of free time that you have every day is shrinking, and you need to buy it back somewhere. How would you like to reclaim that hour that you spend in the kitchen every night? You can. With a little planning, you can get all of your delicious, healthy, and home cooked meals together so that you only have to spend about 10 minutes actually cooking each night.

Schedule an afternoon when you have the house to yourself and you can just get it done free of distractions. Some meals you may be able to fully cook ahead of time, and when you are ready to use it you can just pop it into the microwave. Other meals you may be able to prepare and then freeze. Things like lasagna can be fully assembled and then frozen. On the day that you want to use that meal, just pop it into the oven and let it cook. While it may take an hour or so to cook, you’ve already done all the prep work. Meal time will be a snap 6 days a week.


There are a number of business that you can utilize that will help you to make meal time easier. Search in your area for service providers who give you the option of selecting a weeks worth of meals online. They will deliver right to your door all of the ingredients already chopped, sliced, diced and ready to go. All you have to do is put them together. If you are really pressed for time and have deeper pockets, you can even pay them to deliver the meals already assembled. All you have to do then is put them in the oven.

Yet another service provider allows you to come to their facility to prepare your meals for a week, or even a month, at a time. For a set fee, you spend part of a day there. They will have a huge supply of recipes on hand that are good for preparing in advance. All of the ingredients necessary to prepare those meals are on hand and you can spend an afternoon assembling them. Take them home, freeze them, and on the day that you want to use each one, pull out the instructions that they provided and cook away. Once again, the meal is fresh, but you have avoided the hassle of daily prep work.
